Don’t know about duty but cars from Canada may not be DOT approved.

I am aware of a late model Chrysler that came with FI in USofA but was, and it ran much better, carburetor from Canada.  Of all things there was an approved DOT kit to transform that car to US standards.  It included, of all things, sun visors, decals, radiator, manifolds (intake and exhaust) complete new loom (I think the radio  was ok but it only got Sgt Preston of Yukon) gas line, gas tank instrument panel and and and . . . .

Of course Amerispec would be glad to certify your 288 GTO or Boxer.

Cheers

Doug

Does anyone know if duty has to be paid on used cars bought in Canada and brought into the USA?
