If the car is of the same spec (DOT or EPA) then you can import to the USA from Canada.
I purchased a car in Ontario that was 10yrs old and imported it myself at the border.
The car was identical from a safety and emissions standpoint so there was no issue.
It did have all English/French warning labels and all instruments were metric.
