The blue AIM-120 is most certainly eye wash. Never thought of that. Thanks Clyde/Rick. The two Libyan interlopers were downed with sidewinders. Story goes that our guys were shot at and our good guys report it and request defensive whatever, given the ok – they then ask how far should we follow them? Reagan says “into their hanger.” If not true – it does sound like him. Anyhow, in the army, anything painted blue is a training device only. Don’t know if Navy missiles are painted with a yellow band to indicate “live” stuff inside.
