Ok, so I have paid more attention to Ken J on the last few shows and realize that he is doing a good job. As you said, there was some familiarization that was surely needed when he first started.

The shoes to fill are BIG in this situation!

I like that Alex had a Jag and the Italia! Very cool...

I remember seeing a category a few months ago just on Dodge models.

So, there have been more and more car related topics being included compared to in the past few years.

>From my perspective, James H, for all his wild success on the show, may come across as a bit too smug.  I don't think he has the on-camera "presence" to host the show.  Wife and I have been talking about potential replacements ever since Alex announced his cancer diagnosis, and we always came back to Jennings or Rutter.  I think either could do that job very long term and be great at it.  And because of their success as contestants, they have the absolute "cred" to do it.  (Alex built his "cred" over 30-some years of being a genial, witty, and comfortable host.  If you haven't read his book, "The Answer Is...", I recommend it.  It's a fairly quick and easy read, funny in places, sad in the obvious places.  He also talks about some of the cars he's owned - like a white Jag XK-140 roadster (Yes!) and an Italia Spyder.  He bought the latter because at the time, he couldn't afford the $26,000 for a Ferrari Daytona Spyder - which he had seen on the street and fell in love with!)

Agree on the figure skating question.  Seems you really had to dig down into the technical and proverbial "weeds" to get that one....

But what I really wonder about is where on earth did they come up with some of these other potential guest hosts?  Aaron Rogers?  <shrug....>

GP, good point on Rutter. I think he would have been better onscreen.

Ken is doing a fine job though.

How would James Holzhauer do? Might be a bit dry...
