I don't know.. I standardized on the Fram paper pleated filters and gave up on the k&n filters after that test...

Hmmm

Had to read this twice – how could an oil filter make a HP difference?

Ahhh – K&N “air” and oiled air filter.  OK

Do you think it caught more dirt?  Make the engine last longer?

When I had my 85 with factory exhaust on a dyno in the late 90s the RWHP was around 190.  FYI - I was testing out KN oil air filters vs Fram paper filters and found KN decreased HP by approximately 5hp…..
