Erik and all,

For years I bought the most expensive towels that I could afford which were quite pricey. I have a separate shelf just for car towels and I always used the softest one’s on the Ferrari.

I bought 4 or 5 different styles of micro from griots but to be honest this is the only one I use.

Three buckets one with soap, two with water and I  use one of these towels in each. First soapy one folded in quarters to wipe off each section turning it out after each wipe then follow with the second bucket using the same type towel, and the third bucket for a final wipe off. Drying  with a fourth slightly dampened towel.

I start with the top then do the front bonnet and rear bonnet then sides,
Then clean the glass then the bumpers then  the wheels.

The best metal polish I found this happich semi chrome. I also use the Leatherique  products. I found using the Leatherique pristine clean on the tires and bumpers is the very best  cleaning solution leaving them clean but not shiny.

I never thought I would switch from cotton but these are so soft then made a true believer out of me. I still use old cotton socks or T-shirts for wiping the wheels, exhaust pipes etc. and then toss.

I hope you’re referring to the cotton towels in the garage and not those in the guest bath.

But it wouldn’t surprise me.
