That's for sure just based on the market, as the enthusiast is taking a back seat to the speculator/investor. This happened before as well have see, then things crashed and normalcy returned. I don't think we will see $100,000 Daytona's ever again, but six figure 308's and 911 SC's at 80k should deflate.

Carl, agree on the overall assessment.

Based on a lot of the BaT comments I usually see, I wonder if half would even notice what you did…or even understand?

The market is full of buyers of all types now compared to just 10 years ago.

Lash, I would think anyone familiar with any type of repair work would. To me, this indicates simple cost cutting on the work and would lead me to be very cautious about how the car was kept. At best case scenario it would lead me to believe that a quick inexpensive respray was done to freshen the appearance for sale. Not a car I would want.

I saw the auction and found it interesting that the seller had no issue showing the repaint with all of the trim simply taped off even around the directional lights and bumpers that are simply 8 bolts and nuts each to remove and likely take more time to make off. Having grown up in a restoration shop I would be curious as to the quality of the respray and what the cars looks like in the metal ie overspray on trip and bodywork quality and it still brought very strong money for a GT/4
