Lucky you. The previous owner of my car parked it in a carport for years up in West Vancouver.

I do remember just how nice your car was. We weren’t parked side-by-side but I remember thoroughly checking it out at the show on that pier in Seattle back in 2000(!). I was parked next to Doug B.’s GT4 which had the same red with Boxer trim as your car but with a tan interior.

Actually, my old 308GT4 was quite rust free.  Can't say there wasn't
some lurking somewhere, but bottom of the doors, lower body sides, and
frame showed no signs at all.  No surface rust on suspension or pick
up points.  My mechanic even commented about the lack of rust.  For
example, after removing the inside door panel, the pinch weld at the
bottom looked just like it left the factory. (I gave it a shot of WD40
anyway, letting it soak into the joint.) The previous (and only other
owner) sweared that it was a zero rain car.  And I never drove it in
the rain either.  Didn't even use a hose to rinse it when I washed it
so no water could enter the doors or settle around the windows or
trim.

Had to have a minor nose respray after someone backed into it and
scuffed the paint.  Looking at the mounting holes for emblems, lights,
etc. ---- no rust at all.

That is one of the reasons why I sold it (there were other practical
considerations as well..).  I wanted an Italian car that wouldn't
disappear into a puddle of rust if driven routinely here in the PNW.
I don't hesitate to park my current car outside.

Hans.
