I do the same thing with my GT4 and the Mondial as well (despite the fact there is no engine lid, it’s all grille). It’s not only the cats, but the engines are running pretty close to stoichiometric all the time. There is no cooling effect with any unburnt fuel. If there is any system that works perfectly well in a Ferrari, it’s the heater... Peter Sent from Mail for Windows From: Clarence Romero Jr. Well here is my take on this car My old 512 TR and my current 575 puts out Chernobyl heat After running I open the hood to let out the heat, it’s well in excess of 200 degrees This car has a 6 litter engine with no room whatsoever for any heat to leave the engine compartment The CATS are the issue, they trap heat And with the 512 before I installed the aluminum radiators in it that car was thermally challenged at best The 575 they did and outstanding job with that car, New Orleans in the summer heat index 100 plus nonissue This new car will melt everything around it, shades of the 348 tail lamps ( see Brian for details)
