Coolant would get all over the housing and mess up the top of the block (no matter how many rags I’d wrap around the base of the housing.
I checked and the boss on top had enough meat to drill and tap a 1/8 NPT thread. I bought these brake bleeder kits at a local hardware supply store and installed it. Now, I don’t spill a drop – I connect a small piece of nylon tubing over to a small plastic bowl and the coolant runs cleanly into it...
