As long as the people building them - build them to Navy Standards or better... if there is better.  And no more lowest bid on Nuclear Reactors, no more Babcock and Wilcox supplemented by local unions.   I've heard horror stories of pissed off union pipe fitters dropping boxes of nuts and bolts into steam pipes on Nuke sites.   Then the general public gets a bad taste for Nukes because they are always offline for some reason or another.

Absolutely that should be a part of it.  Small reactors within a network of medium sized reactors within a network of already existing large reactors.  The grid is long overdue for an upgrade and this should be part of that upgrade.  Add solar to that and you have a nice setup.
