Britt,

I've used the XPEL (www.xpel.com) film for Miata (NB) headlights - compound curves.  Easy to apply, but required time and patience.  For your 512 fog/driving lamps - relatively flat, if I'm not mistaken - installation should be considerably easier.  When finished, just park in direct sunlight (sun shining on the fog lamps) to help "set" the film.

Just looking now - go to xpel.com, Automotive, find the headlight protection link, enter your car info.  I just selected "1992", "Ferrari", and "512 TR" (https://www.xpel.com/headlight-protection-kits/US--AND--Canada/Passenger-Cars--AND--Light-Trucks/1992/Ferrari/512-TR/None) and there's a list of products - oddly, none seem to be headlight protection kits.   ?????

I'm sure if you contact their customer service, they will help you out.  I really liked their stuff and used it on other cars as well (wife's VW Beetle - another with compound curves...).  It's not rocket science.  While we've never met, you seem like a pretty bright guy - I'm certain you can do this on your own without having to pay some "installer" (though, as you say, not many in Sweden anyway....).

Best of luck with it.  Hope you'll post some pics for us when you get it done.

p.s. - what I really liked about the xpel headlight protection kits was that the film was a bit thicker and "softer" - it felt like road debris would just bounce off.  As others have stated, never had a problem.

I just need to cover the front fog lamps to protect from breakage. I?m not going to find anyone who can do this in Sweden ( there are exactly 13 of these cars in the entire country) nor who would have a pattern for the lens. They are relatively flat, I?m going to have to do it myself.

Do you not cut the film with scissors to the right shape and then apply it? Is there more to this than that?
Thanks for everyone?s input and advice.
