It does sound fun, mainly an excuse to hang out with my son J  We will be picking up a tow vehicle also, just learning about the various options – right now it looks like a diesel Silverado 2500 with a 24-28ft trailer, but nothing is set in stone.  I have not pickup experience and am looking for on the road comfort in addition to reliability and towing capacity.

Assume you have a tow vehicle already?

 

That will dictate a lot of your trailer design as it is a vital component of your transport system.

Does anybody have experience with a low profile stacker type trailer? Something that could stack two 308's in 13ft of length and 8.5ft height?

 

We are two mechanical engineers, and are thinking about designing a stacker lift for the trailer and then building out the front as a living/workspace....

 

Would love to know if anybody has any designs, photographs or comments on how to make race day as efficient and fun as possible.
