The stock cams, despite having some decent lobe center angles are very tame. Had to be in order to pass emissions. Even the Euro spec items weren’t far off either. The infamous “P6” cams are quite streetable yet really allow the engine to breathe at higher RPMs. The racing Daytonas used the same cam profiles and were quite potent. Peter Sent from Mail for Windows From: Anthony Bauco Yeah, it looks like a 308 block. Supposedly, the casting on the Dino series blocks were all very similar. Some were then modified for dry sump and so on. I don't know if the cams are particularly special but he slapped 348 heads on that
block after it was bored out. I would guess that the crank is close to a 360 crank and the same with the pistons. The compression ratio is probably pretty high and I'm sure the exhaust is tuned. That plus the velocity stack intake buys you some extra HP.
Still, to get to 400HP, you are probably right in that the cams are a bit hotter than normal. On Sat, Oct 22, 2022, 12:08 AM Peter Rychel <dino308gt4 [at] hotmail.com> wrote:
