Horn problem: Eureka, it was the button.

Drove the car this morning…. I let the ground wire loose in its place and put the horn button (without the male connector since it was detached-see yesterday’s picture) in its place. I started the engine and the horn screamed out loud. That means the female connector of the ground wire was touching something inside. I took the button off and drove it with the ground wire loose. Every now and then, when there was no traffic, I would take the female connector of the ground wire and touch the screws (of the steering wheel) or the inside of that hole (see picture) and the horn would work immediately.
Great, problem solved, it was the button and its female connector.

I must add that wire is damaged (see picture). Somehow, somebody tried to cut it and quit. It’s very fragile. The horn does not ALWAYS 100% work. I need to wiggle the wire a bit at times. but I’ll fix that too.

I’ll try to clean that button real good, reattach the male connector to it: Crazy glue ? And then try it like that. If that does not help, I’ll just buy a new horn button. Yesterday I saw prices from 32 pounds to 137 pounds in Europe.
