I replaced the steel injectors with brass ones in my TR 9 years ago. I think the part number was 043 7502 047. Bought them from a Saab parts house for about $18. each.

That is the "upgrade" from Bosch, I don't think they even make the steel

related to a combination of several issues, but the new injectors made my
328 run Sooooo much better in the upper rpm range.

Get new brass (Bosch) fuel injectors...the original ones were steel, and

are

prone to corrosion, which can cause leaking and poor spray patterns. The
updated injector part numbers are posted on F-chat, I have posted it many
times. I worthwhile upgrade after all these years, even if it does not
solve your hot start problem.

Actually, a leaky injector makes sense. When I shut down, I get 'mini
backfires'. Little pfutt pfutt sounds upon key-off like gas is post
igniting. That's recent.

Question - for DaveH - you would seem to be a (perhaps lone) advocate of
brass injectors. What is your history with this and why brass?
