I have used an HK .45 before but find that any .45 is just too large and heavy to carry on a regular basis. How is the HK .40? My main weapon is a Glock 40 cal. with a Walther PPK-S for an occasional backup. My load in each is either Glaser safety slugs or Black Talons. Have a stash of each since I don't believe either have been legal for sale for a while!

+1 to the USP in .40. My personal preference is .45 (love my Tactical, Expert, & Std.), but .40 does give you greater than 12 + 1 rounds and (more than) adequate stopping power. I, too, have never had a failure to go bang that can be attributed to any HK. Btw, the ER docs hate the Hydra-Shok ammo - all those multiple wound paths to probe for bullet fragments.

I'll admit to an extreme fondess for H&Ks... SIGs aren't too bad, I carry one when
I'm on duty. God knows it's light years ahead of the piece of crap Beretta I used to
carry, even if it is still in that supremely useless 9mm ball load that the military
shackles us with. When off-duty I carry H&K USP .40 (with Federal Hydra-Shok
loads... screw that FMJ ball crap) that I love; that thing is an absolute tack driver,
always spot on, haven't had a single misfeed or stoppage in any way, shape, or form.
Spent some time in Iraq running around with an MP5; other than the fact it was a 9mm,
that baby was damned-near perfect. I used to have a USP .45 Compact that I sold to a
buddy before I deployed, now I'm doing everything in my power trying to convince him to
sell it back to me. I tried offering my first-born, but he said he doesn't want to
wait that long until he can cash in on whatever I trade him. Bastard.
So, yes, I'm an HK lover.

Okay. Let's start a gun thread.
Had a trigger job done on the Sig220ST. It breaks clean, but it's still heavy (DA= 8.5 lbs. SA= 4 lbs.) when compared to a HK Expert or HK Tactical oem match trigger. Any other HK lovers on the list???

Greetings Ferrari List members,

Been nose to the grindstone down here in Panama and making some

headway>>so all the emails were getting a bit much and distracting. Some very

good writers and commentary here so it was hard to not read your

posts.>>

Watched the race in Monza and decided to reup my subscription and
immediately found a watch thread :-)

Some things never change.

The last races are going to be quite a show.

I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts about them and for the
next season.

There is a small but active Ferrari/Maserati dealership down

here. Saw a

612 out in front the other day and there are quite a few

Quatroportes>>running around.

I'll try to get some pics and post to my website.

By the way, the same group owns the dealership in San Jose,

Costa Rica.

KR,

Hunter

By the way, I know Aldo has a website. Google: Aldo Sardinia and

you'll>>probably find it.
