My 355 is a spider, and generally if it's not great top-down weather I take the TR or the Diablo, so visibility is usually not an issue. With the top down, obviously the visibility is as good as it can get in any direction. When I've occasionally had to drive it with the top up, the visibility sucks due to very thick "c-pillars" and a rear window which is plastic rather than glass. In this regard I think the spider is worse than a GTB/GTS. Even with the flying buttresses on the closed cars, the C-pillar on the spider is much wider.

The Diablo, which took a lot of crap in the press for visibility, I actually find quite good. I have never had to learn the 'perch on the door sill to reverse' thing that you see all the time. The mirrors are well placed and the flying buttresses on that car are no worse for rear quarter views than the TR. The wing does take up a bunch of real estate in the view behind you, but not so much that you can't get out of a parking space or see who is behind you. In fact, Susie took a really cool photo at our last mountain drive (thank you Ricambi America) of a Ford GT that was behind us, neatly bordered by the wing and the vented engine cover of the Diablo.
