Yup, had the traditional gated shifter. _____ From: Ken Rentiers [mailto:rentiers [at] mac.com] Sent: Saturday, January 13, 2007 11:56 AM To: Dave Handa Cc: ken rentiers; 'The FerrariList' Subject: Re: [Ferrari] paddleboats Does Paul's 430 have the traditional shift gates? I used to love that 'clang' sound when going through the gears in the 328. I once had the use of Rodney Hass' 365 GT 2+2 for a short while. No gated shifter there, but what a noise that V12 made when you accelerated. Old ladies would jump and small boys would start crying and run inside the house. What a great car that was! More fun than could possibly be legal. ken On Jan 13, 2007, at 1:10 PM, Dave Handa wrote: A friend in the local FCA (Paul) bought a black F430B with a 6 speed manual, so it is possible to order one that way. I have no idea if there is a strict allocation to the dealers of how many 6 speed manuals can be ordered though. I do recall one of the introductory videos on the F430, that a test driver claimed only 10 to 20% of F430's would be manual transmission. Whether that is by demand or decree I have no idea. Dave
