I believe that the list price on a 355F1 shifter pump is . . . Wait for it .
. . $15,000.  Not $1,500.  $15,000.

Luckily, the same unit on the 360F1 is "only" $7500 or so...

Kind of make you wonder what is going to happen to these cars in the years
to come. Will a NOS Marelli control unit for the F1 gearbox be a good
investment? In 20+ years, how are they going to be serviced, or will the
just become disposable? Imagine a 328 GTS with all of that to potentially go
wrong, what would it be worth now, as who would want to deal with it? No
self service possible, and the prohibitive expense of ownership will make
them worthless and/or disposable, not to mention how long with the parts be
available. Who is going to stock the exotic 599 shock absorbers in 20 years?
