Hey Doug: The only 'person' that could touch the pavement over the door of the
100s was my first father-in law. Remember when he escorted my bride-to-be down
the aisle with his knuckes dragging on the carpet? What a sight!

Hi Doug,
The 100S had a windshield with a beautiful mechanism that allowed it to
lay down flat against the cowling. It also had 2 or more rows of vents in
the hood. Very elegant. The one that allowed people to put their hands
down and touch the pavement you're thinking about was probably the Triumph
TR2 or TR3. Both had low cut-down door openings with a cable to pull that
would open the door.
