Only German hubris would permit hanging the engine out past the rear  
wheels (the Strength-Through-Joy-Mobile) or sticking it ahead of the  
front axle like a carrot for a reluctant donkey (the Advantage- 
Through-Technology-Mobile). Both Audi and Porsche piss me off because  
they work so well despite Newton's Laws. Of course it took several  
generations for arrogant legions of slide-rule carrying Deutsche  
Geeks to get it right, but they would have tried for 100 years before  
they ever would admit they were wrong in the first place.
