I remember years ago when I heard that RR got a GM turbohydramatic
transmission, put it under the glass, discovered some micrsopic little
ridges/bumps on one of the surfaces, put it down to "shoddy engineering" and
removed them.  Trans then refused to work.
Hmmm.
