With regards to Ferrari saying it cannot be re built they always say things like this. Those of us who have been around the block with Ferrari know that this is there way of getting rid of the extra tranny's they have in stock! The track record on GM tranny's is excellent and I think this is the one that they put in the Vette or the light truck. Get a Road and Track back issue on the road test on the car and it spells it out I remember reading it years ago Also CAV might have some thing on it as well but don’t hold your breath. The surface of the piston and surrounding chamber is rugose, the surfaces control the rate of air movement!
