You should already have a battery shut off switch in the form of a battery ground (dis)connector. It is between the left headlight bucket and the spare tire compartment immediately below the hood strut. It is also helpful to establish a cable from the battery to the front grill area or to the right near the horn compressor soas to plug in your battery charger. That battery charger cable should be fused and should go directly to both the battery pos and neg terminals. I.e. don't use ground for your tender as you will often wish to disconnect the battery from the car wiring yet leave it under charge with your tender. Which is why the cig socket or light socket is a secondary choice. p
