Whew! Thanks Peter/ When Fellippe asked for more details I was going to
say something smarta$$. Man! You have quoted everything but 0-200mph in
furlongs per fortnight!
;-)
Thanks for that research -
You know, there should be a website with all ths kinds of stuff. I bet there is somewhere.

According to 1-97 R&T, the F50 has 513hp, 0-60 in 3.6 sec. The F430 Spyder in 9-05 R&T says: 483hp nd 0-60 in 4.0Sec
So, even with ~10 yr newer technoilogy, the F50 beats it quite handily.
Let me know if you need more data -
Well, if you're gonna quote acceleration times, could you put up the 1/4 mile ET & trap speeds?
Also, 0-150 mph times for either car would be awesome...
Someone said it well that a true measure of supercar acceleration is to be able to hit 150 mph in 20 seconds or less...you'd be surprised how many "fast" cars cannot do this.
0-60 is almost meaningless to me, because you can take two cars with identical 0-60s that have very different real world acceleration abilities...
Also, what's the consensus of the F50's true weight? It's no secret that Ferrari likes to underquote weight..2700-2800 lbs might be on the lighter side of things for the F50.
thx,
