Like many of the old timers, mine is the Crane system. However, mine
is so old, it is labeled under the previous maker's name: Alyson (sp?).

Many Ferrari specialists will tell you to leave it alone. Carlo Durante
in Tacoma - well respected by nearly everybody in the PNW - even
was critical of the optical pickups. He prefers the points for some
reason.

My mechanic finally talked me into deferring modification until the
OEM system starts giving problems. That was 5 years ago.......
And my current plugs are 4 years old with around 15,000 miles
on them.

The only thing that was recommended to me was to have the
distr's disassembled, cleaned, and relubed. My mechanic said
that should be done every 20 years or so.

Hans.
