Hey Bob: Funny that y'all should mention the Gumball Rally. I recently 
discovered my Lister Gumball tee shirt after all these years and proudly wear 
it for all the goobers to see. And, Doug: I'll be at your local Borders Book 
Store signing the picture of me in the Gurney pits at the Rex Mayes 300 Indy 
Car Race at Riverside?held?in November, 1967. I found it on page 42 in the book 
about Dan and his Eagles that my daughter got for me. I even still have the #32 
Press hot pit pass I was wearing in the pix. I was 30 years-old then and looked 
like a Greek God. Now I'm 70 and look like a Goddamn Greek! The shame of it all.

I am usually a lurker, but I'll be there in Oct 08.  Remember the 
Gumball Charity Rally of 2001, the impossible was done and Ferraris 
crossed the country twice for charity.  This sounds like fun.  See you 
all In Memphis.

Memphis has:

Beale Street - home of the Blues - Blues bars, restaurants, fun

Graceland - home of the King - view Elvis' 308 gt4 on 
display....amongst
other things... ;-)   As a side note, I've had older folks pull up  
next me and
say, "I've raced Elvis in one of those..."

Nearly a centralized location, it's a bit closer to the east coast than 
the
west, certainly closer for Ferrari Willi and der Frau.

If we are thinking of a show and/or a track event, Memphis has good 
places
for both. Our annual exotic car show is held at the Memphis Botanic 
Gardens
