Did I set my system up the dumb man's way?
 
I have the Dish DVR which seems super easy for me.  $5 monthly fee (in  
addition to my Dish subscription) and 80 plus hours of hard drive space.   
Naturally I ran out of space so I picked up a $50 (on sale) DVD Recorder from  
Walmart 
a couple of weeks ago and wired it in between the Dish Receiver/DVR and  the 
TV like any normal VCR.  Picked up a pack of 50 DVD-R's from  Microcenter for 
$10 and record everything that I wanted to keep - up to 6 hours  per disk.  I 
understand to have the need of all the latest high tech  gadgets, but what 
happened to simplicity for the "average" Ferrari  owner...
