The Corvette happens to be one of the BETTER mpg cars in the GM
portfolio.

A couple of years ago, AutoWeek did a real world gas mileage
comparison using 2 cars from each continent (ie - 2 Japan,
2 Euro, etc.)  They had a Japanese hybrid and a Euro diesel
included.  For the American cars, they threw in a Corvette just
for giggles.  Guess what?  The Corvette beat many on the list
including the hybrid.

I've personally gotten over 30mpg in them.
