I seem to recall hearing WD40 will kill a O2 sensor as well as the MAF and MAT sensors -

I don't know if an over oiled filter will cause a MAP (manifold
absiolute pressure) sensor to fail, but it will cause a MAF (mass air
flow, of the hot-wire type) to fail prematurely.

Some time ago i believe someone made a post regarding MAP Sensor
failures as a result of the oil residue from K&N filters on their
Ferrari.
Am i remembering correctly and was that determined positively to be
the cause of the MAP sensor failure. I had a MAP failure not too
long after instaling a K&N filter in another car of mine and wanted
to find out if this is a known cause .
