Sorry Stephen,
I couldn;t find who wrote the original comment - which is why I said "It was written" but you're right - that was not clear enough - I did not mean to indicate you had written those comments - Again, sorry -

You're 100% right - calling someone a politician is nasty ;-) possibly the worst label that can be hung on someone.

I am not a politcian, that was nasty :-)
I did not make the origional comment.
I was responding to someone that was complaining about congress did not pass drilling off our coasts.
So I gave my reasons and you are making my points drilling for oil, gas is a crap shoot.
Building a refinery that will have a 25 year life because there is not enough oil to refine will not make the stock holders happy either.
And if they strike oil they WILL sell it on the OPEN MARKET.
I am just tired emails point to this or that will bring back CHEAP fuel.
I have an 89 Geo Metro that I bought new in 1989 that got 50mpg hwy with the air on
and went to replace it and find we have went backwards, then to find out Reagon (the only 2nd president I voted FOR - I vote in every election the other was JFK) reduced the CAFE standards
so I kept the GEO running.
And yes we have mutual funds and yes they have oil stock.
But high fuel costs are bringing eveything down.

Have a good weekend too!
