Ferrari Mailing List: clutch engagement problem???

I have a 1985 euro 308QV -S (38,000 miles). This morning when I went for a 
drive in the Ferrari, it was behaving fine for about an hour. Then when taking 
off from a red light I put it in 1st and when I released the clutch  nothing 
happened. Since there was traffic all around me I shifted into 2nd, and 
released the clutch, and the gears engaged, and I took off. The car continued 
to start in first after several stops, then it happened again at a stop sign. I 
kept shifting from neutral to first with my foot on the clutch and nothing 
happened when I released the clutch. Again it would start in 2nd, and all other 
gears worked. Oh yes, reverse also works. This afternoon I took the car out 
again, and every now and when I shifted into 1st, but nothing would Happen (the 
gears wouldn't engage).
    I've never experienced this before, does anyone have any ideas on what's 
going on, or how to fix it???
