Thanks for all the good comments everyone. Please remember that the Italians are not content with introducing just one problem at a time. The issue here IS unlubricated motors and dried up hard grease on the worm gear AND it is electrical. You guys may not remember that I addressed this same issue on my GTB. I rebuilt the motors and cleaner/lubed the worm and worm gear.and the motor assemble ran great! It just couldn't do its job properly on 9 volts! So the answer is not to radically change the engineering, per se, but rather, to repair/replace components suffering from 25+ years of wear and corrosion. And that means repairing motors, gearboxes, switches, connectors and inadequate-to-start-with wires. That describes my workplan. Sorry for the lack of political and economic content. Hans, your observation is absolutely 100% correct about that male gene responsible for an omnipreseent nagging urge to improve. Whether in the engine bay, with the styling, the interior, the handling, or the audio. These 4 wheeled boxes present no end of opportunity test changes, some of which are worthwhile, but primarily changes which a man can come up against a machine and determine the victor. Plus everyone has an opinion, a favorite brand, a favorite tool, and a favorite beverage to grease the job. And it's maritally sanctioned, because If we weren't making mods we'd be out chasing wild ones. Before my dad left, he told stories about soupin the 'T'. High school in the '20s everyone had a model T and readied them for all matters of racing. I could have lived life to it's fullest back then too. Women may have their counterpart concerning drapes or soufle's or ?? Now then, buy a new car and take it to the dealer every 6 months for a checkup? Where's the danger, the excitment, the flirting with burning up the engine compartment? ****************************************************** Green = lacking wisdom knowledge and experience _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/rolindsay%40yahoo.com Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/ Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T
