Hi Jim - I have been having the same problem. one thing to consider is most HDs I've looked at are for SATA HDs and my existing HDs are IDE - so a different controller is needed unless I but new HD/s. Also, if you want to use some PCI cards you'll find the newer MBs often only have 2 slots. Things are still changing in the world of puters - The ASUS seem to be high quality altho there's always lots of off brands with lower prices. There's other quality MBs besides ASUS of course - the prices run from around $30 up to several hundred - there's probably some more than that but I never look at them . Tried a used one bought from a local source - didn't completely fire up so I'll probably check it to see what wires I forgot to hook up ;-) replacing MBs are a PITA BTW - Sincerely, Larry T (74 911, 91 300D 2.5T) www.youroil.net Oil Analysis Kits & Porsche Posters/Weber parts . ----- Original Message ----- From: "jim" <jimshadow [at] verizon.net> To: "Larry Turner" <l02turner [at] comcast.net> Cc: "The FerrariList" <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Sent: Friday, November 21, 2008 10:30 PM Subject: [Ferrari] Computer ? > Ok, looks like I'm going to build a new PC.
