That's more or less like the mass air flow sensor in a fuel injection system that I mentioned. My guess is that it is something a lot simpler - like trying to measure the resistance of the oil - if indeed there is anything to measure. I have myself so damn curious now that I think in the morning I will be shoving some ohm meter leads into a jug of oil. Hans.
