How does the engine oil sensor work?
Without seeing it, I can only guess that it is a thermal oil level sensor. One of two ways - either looks for "hot oil" (thermistor) Or it looks for the thermal conductivity of oil. Heating coil and thermal switch would do the latter. Oil present? carries away heat - switch never opens No Oil? heats up switch, switch opens. Jim
