Ok, I'm in the process of building a new computer. I'm currently running Win2K and will need a current OS for things like my DigiCamCorder software. So now I have to choose between XP and Vista. Any thoughts? All the reviews I read still seem to lean towards XP, with Vista being close, but still not quite up to expectations.
What will you use it for? If you will use more than 2GB of memory AND drivers are available for the 64 bit O/S (Vista 64, not XP!) then go Vista 64. If not, go XP 32 (SP2 or SP3) Jim PS: the sticking points are usually drivers for directly attached things that are a bit "old" - like printers and scanner and such.
