Great story! Are you sure that all those pullovers were to look at the car and
not the girl in the passenger seat?

I sold my first car, a 1976 Mustang II for the 1975 Spitfire. When I got the
Mustang at 16 I knew nothing about cars except it was a Ford and it cost
900.00 dollars. Worked fine and then I started reading car mags. Saw a Spitfire

and it was love at first sight....

I tell you I have driven Ferraris all over Europe more than twice HOWEVER
nothing and I mean nothing got me girls like a 1975 Spitfire 1500 while
attending UF in Gainesville! Quality girls as well. Got pulled over twice by
the
cops while owning it because they wanted to see the car. Great car!

My very "first" sports car was a 1967 Triumph Spitfire, back in 1975.

I sold a 1957 Chevy (that I bought when I was 16), to purchase the Spitfire.
