My dad always said that the reason getting a drivers license was so easy (in
my case in Florida for my first license but I now hold the UK as well) was
because the car manufacturers put political pressure on the states to keep it
easy. Lots of licenses means they can sell more cars and what is more
American than buying a car?

It sounds a bit cynical but as I have gotten older I believe there must be
some truth in that. Easy license means lots more drivers means lots more car
sales.

PS- Don't kid yourself about power oversteer being limited to the higher
level Ferraris. My 328 met its end that way and it snap spun so fast that you
couldn't even think before it was a goner. That was a 50 mph on a greasy road!
Another FOC member in my local area group did the same with his 328 at a track
day after all day of doing laps, just a little tiny mistake and he spun off
into the barriers. This guy races and was concentrating and he still didn't
catch it before the wall came up.

Be careful out there.....

Hey Gang: Let's get serious here. Do you think that any car company would
forgo the sale, and hefty profit from a high-performance vehicle merely
because
the buyer hadn't attended a driving school? LMFAO! What they care about is
the bottom line. Period.
