Pininfarina wasn't real receptive to visitors. They had a mediocre
movie playing, voices were in Italian with English subtitles. It
was difficult to follow, as it moved fast and you either had to just
read the subtitles or watch the movie.

They had a few of their past glories on display, and a mock-up
of both the P4/5 and Enzo.

It seems most of us associate the Pinifarina designs with Ferrari
and selective memory leads us to think they are all beautiful.
But they also have had clinkers. Many didn't like the 4 headlight
330GT, but shooting out a pair of those lights helped a lot.

Speaking of 330GT, here is it's designer, Tom Tjaarda. My
favorite of his designs is the 365 Cal Spider, but I suppose
most like the Pantera. I spent part of an afternoon walking
around an ancient walled city near Torino with him. Really nice
guy. I ask him if he liked the designs of any modern cars and
mentioned the new Chrysler 300C.
