Phil- I fully agree with you, which makes it all that much more important to
not head that direction.

 

This 'free health care' thing makes me shake my head.  How do people think
that it could actually be free?  What in life is??  My father in law waited
for 11 months for a triple-bypass because of 'free healthcare' being so
abused that the lines are that long.  Right now in America we pay out of
pocket for our health care (be it paid for personally or through an
employer), but the quality of care is very good.  In a socialized health
care system we pay for it through increased income tax (but make no mistake
you still pay for it), AND through decreased quality of care.  Suddenly it
is so cheap to go to the doctor that people run to the doctor because they
sneezed.  Many places in Canada have a few weeks to a few months delay to
see your GP.  By the time you get in, you are better (or dead).

Big R....Unfortunately, I have seen the system turn some have nots into will
nots and that is because they figure why not.
