There are quite a few out here and I have been behind one the the gt4,
they seem 2 feet wider than a GTB and the gearbox hanging out the rear
makes the car unmistakably awesome. I am not a big turbo fan but sure
would like one. I had replica GTO wheels for my GT4 and I have to tell
you they took 4 hours a piece to detail and polish making the 16"
Cromodoro wheels very desirable! Of they have a air intake behind the
3/4 window very similar to the GT4 as does the Diablo

I'll bet it screamed. Of course, I'm a huge 959 fan - the ultimatePorsche - but you can have a similar car in the newer 911 AWD Turbo. Sameconcept with different tactics for reaching the conclusion....IMO The 288 would have been a sleeper - many people would have called it a "Magnum Ferrari" which it is similar to - but beneath those wide fender flairs and additional scoops and aero aides is a whole nuther ball game. I wish I could hear those twin turbos spool up in anger (in person) - I'llbet it's not something that is soon forgotten. Later ya'll - LarryTLarry,There are 288s in the US....how many of the allegedly 272 ever made, don't know. But I know they're super rare because I've yet to see one in my 29 1/2years of looking at cars! :)I'd probably drive a good hour or two just to see one....not drive one, not even ride in one, just to see one!!! So deprived in NYC, all we have are430s and Gallardos. :)I hope seeing one for the first time will be special and not a letdown...I'mgonna guess the $600k price tag will reflect that it won't be a disappointment. :) FG _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/rgarven%40gmail.com Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/
