I took a look at the parts diagram ( 
http://www.ricambiamerica.com/parts_catalogs.php?M=FE&P=&V=diag&I=1008 ) 
and you are one lucky guy it didn't let loose at speed.  You know the 
old saying, "you get one for free."  I worked hard for my "free one" 
many years ago in a blizzard in a Mooney over ECG.  I guess that's why 
my gearbox busted, I already had my "free one."

Btw, we celebrated T'Day at our Cape Cod place that's about 200 yds. 
from where the Pilgrims landed in 1620.  Your invite's still good.
