All haven't all been sold. I have access to two reds and a yellow.
They are extremely expensive and have been slow to move.

The newest Motorweek this morning had a brief segment about the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione - an incredibly beautiful machine! There were only 100 sent to USA and all have been sold (~$280k) with a fair amount going to the rest of the world - IIRC 250 was total production. Powered by a 4.8L V8 pulling a ~2000# car the performance must be as spectacular as the looks.According to Wiki it's based on a 2003 show car. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfa_Romeo_8C_Competizione OilAnalysis Time? AYIEEeeeeee May work for a 1980 application and a first time three way cat - - BUT the newer applications are quite complex and quite sensitive. Why not cut a late OBD I sensor wire and splice? Well- it may change the O2 to ECU signal. Secondly, to operate effectively, the O2 gizmo requires a reference O2 source. Some cheap O2 sensors just use a hole in the case and Voila - there you are.Others, get this, actually run a hollow tube on the outside of one of the wires into the passenger cab to insure uncontaminated HC O2. Cut that - pooooof - yer back to square one. The four wire O2 for the 512 TR is an intricate part of a moderately complicated set of engine commands. Bottom line - Get it from Ferrari and rest assured if you have other problems it aint that O2. Doug's axiom - if it is emissions related - get it from the factory. Sometimes the cheapest way to go is the most expensive - in dollars and sense. heh heh I could be wrong - Onward DOUG No virus found in this incoming message.
