See I still just do not get it. The classic V12 cars from Ferrari, sure I get those, and absolutely they have some beauties. But the 550? (or even the 456), while nice looking, are nice looking in the same way that a 4th gen Corvette, or a Nissan 300ZX are nice looking to me at least. I consider those two cars low points on the style meter from Ferrari, even the 308GT4's with their attempts to be Lotus Esprits are better looking and more timeless overall. JMHO... philville dejazzd.com wrote:What I tried to say ( but came up blank), Is that yes, the Alfa is a gorgeous car, and, I surely would not mind having one, but the Marranello that is parked next to it is probably all the car any one of us needs (ever) Not only is it gorgeous, but it speaks to me as only a front engined V 12 Ferrari can. If you look at it long enough you can see 50 years of Pinin Farina styling, and when you drive it, it is all Ferrari. The Dino isn't bad either. Thanks Gary for the post.
