After having spent 50 + years in and around the world of buying and selling 
automobiles, it takes an Airline Capt. 2 weeks to finally get it through my 
head that ones perception of treating others "fairly" ( my terminology ) is 
just a crock of s***, in order for fair to work it needs to work both ways and 
have a bearing on future business.......which it does not.
Hence forth, fairness is in the eye of the behoder of the check book,
