I usually walk in, if I like something I see, I figure out what it's worth
to me, tell the guy what I'm willing to pay, out the door, and leave my
number.  I tell them the offer is good for a few days usually.  I don't
think I've ever got a really GREAT deal on a car, but I try to make an offer
that's a good deal for all involved.  I get the usual few calls trying to
get a few more bucks out of me, but I just keep stating, "what I offered,
out the door".  I usually get it for what I offered.
