One of the very wealthy members of the FOC here in the UK has a great
collection of vintage Ferraris and a few new ones. (He owns the BB-LM "Doves
and
Clouds" car among others... He and his wife are very down to earth, (and
are both great track racers in the club) and the club here has no "airs and
graces" at all. A few years back when we did the World Record of most
Ferraris on a track (at Silverstone) we had a big Ferrari weekend with racing
and at Silverstone. Leaving the track on Saturday night I headed (in a
friends Mondial) North upto the M1. Those of you who have been to Silverstone
know the duel carriage way that runs from the track past a few roundabouts all
with petrol stations and one with a McDonalds. Well, we pulled in for fuel
as did a few other Ferrari's. While "gassing up" I watched the wife drive
her Enzo with her little daughter in the passenger seat into the McDonalds
drive through and place an order. The crowd of people at Mac D's were
amazed to see an Enzo and even more amazed to see this attractive blonde
driving
it! of course they weren't to know the Enzo is a daily driver and she and
her husband have a lot more exotic machinery than that to use when they
want.

As Clyde says, drive it to go shopping!

Agree 100%

There's a picture floating around of my Mondial overloaded after a Costco
run. If I could afford an 800K car, I could also afford to drive it through
Mickey D's with the kid/s.

Wasn't it Phil Hill, having been asked about how hard he was pushing a
historic racer worth 'lots', simply said that if it's worth that much, then
it's worth fixing if it gets damaged.

And if you owned an $800,000 car you can honestly say you'd drive it
"places?". Like the grocery? Home Depot?
