Modena's Ferrari dealership's parts department apparently isn't what it once
was.  I was advised to go there too, but found a facility that had recently
been severely downsized.  As for the dealership, I've seen a better assortment
of cars at Ron Tonkin in Portland.

Stangelini is a must see.  A real treasure that I didn't know even existed.

As for the Cavalino .vs. the Montana:  Some claim that the Montana is the
new hot ticket, but Cavalino isn't exactly dead.  Luca di M. was having
lunch there at the same time we were.  A friend's wife (who had a bit
too much vino....) accidentally bumped into Luca on her way out of the
Restaurante.  His body guards just laughed.  He had shown up in a little
Fiat van, of all things.  While standing on the curb outside, I snapped
a pic of a heavily disguised Ferrari California.  Months later I had a chuckle
when a magazine published a "secret spy photo" very similar to the one
I got 6 months before.

Ho boy - go up to Modena and visit Motor Service - the Ferrari dealership.  Visit the parts guys and establish a relationship with them.  Then when you need left handed kanibbling pins and they aint available here - call Flavio and voila - there it is.  Then, on the same street, is Stangelini museum!  Ahhh, the 50's ride again.  I think Modena is where the bodies are built - or used to be.  When I was at the Factory in '79 I was able to take my camera and pictures inside.  Of course this was the first day of the National Holiday.  Then 20 years later, 1999 - we had to undergo a deep cavity search and cameras? BUWHAahahahahahahahah.  BUT well worth trip.  OH - go to the Restoranti and buy some dishes and coffee cups.  They don't ship.
